Register for The Circular Business Model Training Sessions

Registration for the Circular Business Model Training Sessions is now open. The training sessions are organized by Nordic Innovation and Accenture and will take place from 12 May until 8 June 2022. The purpose of the training sessions is to increase companies’ knowledge of what circular economy entails and showcase how advisors can use tools such as the Circular Economy Playbook in advising and guiding businesses on their circular transition.

Five training sessions split into two tracks

The first two sessions aim to introduce you to the most fundamental parts of circular economy and circular business models. Focus will be on explaining and raise awareness about the business value and potential for companies in employing circular business models. The training is particularly relevant for industry organizations and clusters with companies in manufacturing as well as their value chains such as technology and raw material suppliers, financing, and logistics.

The following three sessions will go more into depth and equip business advisors with the ability to use tools from the Circular Economy Playbook such as how to calculate a circular value case, identify circular business models and digital capabilities needed and how to identify circular needs. These sessions are mainly relevant for business advisors, organizations, and networks with members from the manufacturing industry as well as their value chains.

Background

New regulations and the green transition place increasing demands on the circularity of Nordic companies’ operations. By implementing circularity actions, companies could turn inefficiencies in linear value chains into business value. Circularity contributes to disconnecting economic growth from resource consumption, making the implementation of circular business models important for securing the competitiveness of the businesses.

In the beginning of 2021, Nordic Innovation launched the Nordic Circular Economy PlaybookThe playbook was developed to support both smaller and larger manufacturing companies looking to transition to the circular economy. The training sessions will function as further development of the playbook and support to companies looking to transition to a circular business model.

The Circular Business Model Training Sessions are a part of the Circular Business Models program which works towards a Nordic Region as a leading region within circular and sustainable business models.
