Showcasing Nordic circular economy solutions at COP30

On Monday 10th of November, the first day at COP30 and the first session in the Nordic Pavillion focuses on circular approaches in the built environment. It looks at how existing buildings can be transformed using sustainable materials and design strategies, supported by regulation and practical tools.

In the afternoon, the same day we will showcases Nordic company experiences and tools that support circular business models. It includes examples of programs and playbooks that help companies and cities transition toward more circular practices.

A third session on Thursday 13th of November addresses the recycling and reuse of critical raw materials. It presents Nordic efforts to recover valuable resources from electronic waste, industrial side streams, and mining residues, and discusses emerging systems for collection, sorting, and recycling.

We also invite to one session on Monday 17th that will explore how marine biomass can be used in new ways to support a sustainable bioeconomy. It highlights Nordic examples of how ocean-based resources, particularly lower-trophic species, can offer alternatives to land-based materials with a smaller environmental footprint.
