"It will be very interesting to see how the new projects will approach the topic of smart and sustainable mobility for the future, will they complement or strengthen the already ongoing Nordic projects or will they bring totally new aspects to the table", says Nina Egeli, Senior Innovation Adviser at Nordic Innovation.
The purpose of the Nordic Smart Mobility and Connectivity call — round 2 is to foster the establishment of new Nordic partnerships, value chains and/or business models in the field of smart mobility and connectivity. The call has a budget of NOK 16 million and the plan is to fund four projects up to NOK 4 million each.
The applied projects have a total of 89 partners from all over the Nordic region and they represent both bigger and smaller Nordic companies, clusters, universities, research institutions, innovation and business ecosystems, industry organisations and public bodies.
The 14 applications received will be assessed by a Nordic Innovation team, after which they will be evaluated by an external Nordic evaluation panel. The panel consists of representatives from each of the five Nordic countries and from both the private and public sectors.
The funding decisions are expected in early June.
