The main objective is to increase exposure of Nordic health and care solutions to international markets, facilitate export of Nordic solutions to healthcare providers in the UK and strengthen the Nordic collaboration for export of health and care technologies
The UK market for digitalization of health and care is on the rise, and it is important that the Nordics continue engaging in partnering, co-creation and knowledge transfer to be present. The UK is a highly attractive market for Nordic companies, and British healthcare challenges fits well with solutions from the Nordic health-tech scene.
Over the past two years, Nordic health clusters have merged ecosystems with Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber to prepare and introduce Nordic healthtech companies to the UK market. Through a tailored program delivered both digitally and on-site in Leeds, 17 companies from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland have received knowledge and network that has helped them consider when and how to enter the UK market.
Goals and objectives for the extended project: Nordic Propel Bootcamp 2025
In line with the first proposal for the UK Propel initiative, our vision is to continue to strengthen the Nordic value chain within health and medical technology, by cluster and ecosystems collaborating to promote sustainable growth, innovation, entrepreneurship, and global competitiveness of Nordic companies. Our goals for the project includes:

- Increased awareness of the UK as an export opportunity for Nordic companies
- Extensive insight into UK opportunities like potential partners, buyers, market segment, to further develop a solid export strategy for introducing their solution to the UK market.
- Concrete leads on customers and partners relevant for UK market entry
- 1-1 business development support by the UK ecosystem and the Nordic partners on opportunities in the UK.
- A stronger cross Nordic SME-collaboration, creating opportunities for synergies and new collaborations efforts across the Nordic borders.
For the Nordic Clusters:
- Strengthened Nordic cluster-to-cluster collaboration and exploration of opportunities to engage in in new joint projects and initiatives.
- Strengthened Nordic and UK collaboration on internationalization of health solutions, both ways

Outline of the Nordic Propel Bootcamp 2025 program
Following the project plan to date, we will continue working with three layers of activities:
- Mobilize & communications
- Program development, participation and support in the UK
- Follow up companies and strengthening the UK network
To ensure companies have the right level of maturity for the program, we must ensure they have right level of insight before they enroll. Our experience so far shows that webinars with both market and program insight works well. For companies enrolled in the program, 1-1 advisory and activities like cultural and/or pitch training makes the companies reflect upon and prepare well for the attendance which adds value to the program.
Partners in the extended project:
- NORWAY: Norwegian Smart Care Cluster (NSCC) & Norway Health Tech (NHT).
- DENMARK: Danish Life Science Cluster (DLSC)
- SWEDEN: Swecare (SWC)
- SWEDEN: Business Region Gothenburg (BRG) and Sählgrenska Science Park (SSP)
- Finland: Business Tampere (BT)
