The Nordic Health Hackathons are your chance to work on your innovative personalised digital solutions that will improve the health and quality of life for Nordic citizens. We encourage solutions that focus on prevention but we are also happy to see solutions focusing on treatment and care.
First up is the Nordic Health Hackathon in Grimstad, Norway 20-22 March. You can sign up already now for a chance to win prizes up to NOK 60.000. You can participate either as an individual or as a team. We regret to inform you that due to recent developments with respect to the coronavirus (Covid-19) and in order to ensure the health and safety of all, Nordic Innovation have decided to postpone Nordic Health Hackathon in Grimstad. The event will instead take place later this year. Information of new date will follow soon. Thank you.
A second Nordic Health Hackathon in Sweden will be announced later this year. This will be the fifth Health Hackathon in total, after running successful hackathons in Reykjavik, Helsinki and Greater Copenhagen in 2019.
What is Nordic Health Hackathon?
The Nordic Health Hackathons offer an opportunity to anyone interested in data and healthcare to develop innovative solutions or business ideas using already existing Nordic data sets. The hackathons will showcase the possibilities for innovation that comes with access to more and better Nordic health data.
The hackathons are part of our Health, Demography and Quality of Life program and a step towards our vision of making the Nordic region the most sustainable and integrated health region in the world by 2030.
All the hackathons are carried out by our partners Dattaca Labs and are built for rapid prototyping and innovation using already available Nordic health data sets. The hackathons are not just for developers; they're for designers, marketeers and business people as well. All ages, genders and skill levels are encouraged to apply for participation.
