Access to talent and a skilled workforce is essential for building, maintaining, and developing a competitive Nordic region. Through a new call for proposals, Nordic Innovation will fund two projects that present new solutions for talent attraction and retention within enabling and critical technologies.
“The Nordic region is experiencing increased international competition to attract and retain qualified labor. Lack of qualified labor is becoming a risk factor for success in innovation and business development. The Nordic region is well positioned in the global tech race, but talent and expertise are key to continued success in technological innovation,” says Jens Oldgard, Senior Advisor at Nordic Innovation and continues:
“With this call, Nordic Innovation seeks new models for talent attraction and retention tailored to the development of critical technology areas and will examine whether Nordic collaboration can have a positive impact in this field.”
Funding scope
Nordic Innovation will provide grants of up to NOK 2.000.000 per project over a period of 18 months.
The funding must be matched or exceeded by co-funding from project partners, bringing the total project budget to NOK 4.000.000 per project. Co-funding may include in-kind contributions such as working hours.
Background
The call for proposals: Nordic Talent Attraction and Retention is funded under the Nordic Growth and Capital Attraction program which aims to strengthen Nordic companies’ international and growth opportunities, including access to talent and financing.
