COP31: Financing the circular transition – the investment perspective

10.11.2026
15:30 - 16:15
Antalya, Türkiye
COP29 Nordic Pavilion

Making circular cases attractive from an investment perspective is essential if we are to move from pilot projects to real industrial scale. However, circular solutions are often investment heavy while benefits are long-term and distributed across value chains.

This COP31 session will look into the investment perspective of circular economy. The question is how can circular business models become investable?

Nordic Circular Investments, an initiative supported by Nordic Innovation, has analyzed the top ten circular investment cases in the Nordic countries. What can we learn from these cases and how can these cases help us to move circularity from belief to bankability?

We will explore circular investment cases and discuss what is needed to attract capital to the circular transition. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how circular business models are assessed and developed into scalable investment cases.
