Nordic collaboration for hydrogen trucks deployment is decarbonizing the Arctic

Arctic Circle Assembly Iceland reception hall full of people mingling

Join us for an insightful exploration into the pivotal role of hydrogen in shaping the future of transportation. Since 2019, key hydrogen players in the five Nordic countries have worked together in the Next Wave project to forge a path to the deployment of hydrogen trucks in the Nordic region. By bringing together key stakeholders in the hydrogen ecosystem, the project has contributed to positioning the Nordics as an attractive market for new technology, i.e. hydrogen trucks.

In April, a momentousbreakthrough happened with the announcement of the largest single deployment of zero-emission trucks, with 20 hydrogen trucks to be deployed in Iceland and 100 in Norway already in 2025. With infrastructure construction underway and truck deployment on the horizon, this event offers a sneak peek into how this innovative approach to goods transport will revolutionize the environmental impact of traditional supply chains.
