This event explores marine multi-use as a strategic approach to achieving the global target of conserving 30% of the world's oceans by 2030.
We bring together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and NGOs to discuss both the challenges and opportunities of marine multi-use, highlighting its potential to contribute to sustainable ocean conservation.
The session begins with an overview of the urgency of ocean conservation, followed by keynote addresses from government and UN representatives on Norway's commitment and global expectations.
Two panel discussions will examine why marine multi-use is not yet leveraged for the 30x30 goal and explore adaptive, sustainable solutions. The event concludes with insights on fostering collaboration for a sustainable Arctic future.
