Circularity as a tool to increase value creation in ecosystems, and how it reshapes value chains.

In the process of transformation towards circular economy, new circular and digital business models are a way to create value to customers and partners. In addition, not only a tool to leverage scarce resources to the fullest, but also to leverage the whole power and potential of the ecosystem and value chains around your business.

The circular transition cannot be performed alone – and when performing it together across strong ecosystems, your company and customers benefit economically. The value chain approach also helps building resilience in the time of the Covid-19 recovery.

Leveraging the full power of ecosystems – transitioning to a circular Nordic region is a virtual event looking at and discussing how this circular transition across value chains is happening – and can further be accelerated in the Nordics. What are the key factors and considerations in this process?

Data as a core in circular business models and value creation

The use of data and IT and especially sharing the data is enabling how to add value not only with better resource efficiency but also by creating revenue streams for companies with new business models.

Many Circular Economy solutions are supported or even enabled by data and digital platforms. They ensure the availability, reliability, and transparency of the solutions to the relevant actors and stakeholders. It is essential, therefore, to understand the importance of data when a company is interested in implementing CE strategies and solutions.
