Our creative future. Where do we go from here?
Nordic collaboration in the creative industries holds much promise. Much work is already being done on creating a unitary legal framework for scalable consumer contents like games, TV productions, digital media, design and music. In the 2017 European Commission White paper on the future of Europe one of the scenarios put forward is called Those Who Want More Do More. It is clear that the Nordic countries want more.
At the Cool and Creative Nordic conference, we will investigate the obstacles and opportunities that digitalisation poses for scalable consumer contents in creative industries. The main themes will be growth, internationalisation and cross-sector innovation, and we will discuss how we can remove obstacles to a Nordic single market.
The event will be moderated by Mia Odabas. The speakers include, among others, Claudia Olsson, a newly appointed Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and speaker in the field of digital transformation, Bart Ahsmann, Director at Dutch CLICKNL, who talks about how a strong creative industry as a cross-sectional sector offers Netherlands the opportunity to reach innovative breakthroughs and Richard Cope, Senior Trends Consultant at Mintel.
