Lighthouse Projects

In October 2010, the Nordic Trade and Industry Ministers agreed on a new industrial and innovation policy cooperation program focusing on green growth. Six lighthouse projects were launched for the period 2011-2013. Nordic Innovation is contributing to the realization of the projects together with the Nordic countries.

  This project aims to develop a systematic and qualified approach to the co-regulation processes by making a process model and to give an overview of the possible tools and their suitability.

  The European natural stone standards aim to assist producers in product control and documentation as a strategic tool for image building, building consumers trust and business. However, it is not being fully utilized by the the Nordic stone industry that consists primarily of SMEs.

  The energy management standard may seem rather comprehensive to SMEs and act as a barrier to implement more systematic energy saving activities. New ways of involving SMEs in development and implementation of standards are needed.

  SMEs should be encouraged to use standards and participate in the International, European and National standardization system. Using standards can strengthen their innovation capacity.

  What role can standards play to support innovation processes? How can standardisation processes lead to standards that support or at least not hamper innovation?

  Introducing standards in the field of elderly services will make it possible to create a more transparent market, which will benefit both public and private providers of elderly services.

  Projektet skal opbygge et nordisk netværk som omfatter hele værdikæden fra råvareproduktion til markedsföring af fisk fra nordisk akvakultur, samt etablere kontakter i Europa og Canada.

  There is an increasing market need from providers of the cleaning service to prove their ability to deliver quality cleaning.

  Aiming to facilitate market penetration of housing renovations for family houses of high energy standard while providing comfort and sustainability to occupants.
