Lighthouse Projects

In October 2010, the Nordic Trade and Industry Ministers agreed on a new industrial and innovation policy cooperation program focusing on green growth. Six lighthouse projects were launched for the period 2011-2013. Nordic Innovation is contributing to the realization of the projects together with the Nordic countries.

  The ongoing Nordic Marine Innovation Programme is the first of its kind in bringing the marine industry together across the borders in the Nordic Countries.

  How can the Nordic health sector become an even more innovative and demanding procurer? The aim of this program is to improve innovation procurement in the health sector through extended exchange of knowledge and cross-border cooperation.

  Målet med det marine innovationsprogram er, at gennem støtte til nordiske samarbejdsprojekter, styrke innovationen inden for den marine sektor, for at kunne øge fortjenesten og konkurrenceevnen i Norden.

  The aim of the Nordic Marine Innovation Program is to strengthen the innovation ability in order to increase profit and competitiveness in the Nordic marine sector. 15 projects receives funding through the Program.

  With the programme Business Model Innovation in Tourism and Experience Industries (BMI Tourism and Experience), Nordic Innovation and the OECD initiate a joint cooperation programme.

• 2011-03-16CCS in the Nordic Countries in a renewable/climate neutral future (2050)

  The study is done under the Nordic Top-level Research Initiative and it evaluates the energy picture with more renewable energy in the Nordic region and the role of CCS.
