The importance of indoor air quality (IAQ) in buildings is indisputable. Numerous studies have documented that IAQ significantly impacts occupants’ comfort, health and productivity and it is estimated that potential savings and productivity gains from providing users with a “good” IAQ are enormous.
This project “Multisensors and Other New Technology for improved Indoor Environment in buildings” (MONTIE) has addressed the importance of IAQ and some ways of improving it. A consortium of individual partners with their own competencies and specialised know-how has formed a unique, interdisciplinary Nordic network comprising leading companies, institutes and research institutions within the fields of sensor technology, HVAC and indoor environment.
