If you are between the ages of 18 and 24, and you are available to travel between October 21 - 28, 2011, all this could be yours!
To enter:
Create a short video using a mobile telephone or digital camera, or assemble an album of still photos. Create a tasteful Nordic meal which would be easy to cook in an American school kitchen, using ingredients that are easy to obtain in the U.S. The food must be healthy, tasty and simple for other young people to prepare.
Provide recipes for all the parts. Give a short presentation of yourself and tell why you should be one of the aspiring Nordic chefs who will travel to the U.S.
Entries will be uploaded onto the Nordic Innovation website. A panel of judges will evaluate all applications and select the five best presentations. The jury will focus not only on the recipe, but also on the participant’s ability to communicate why healthy Nordic food should be eaten, and how to cook it.
Rules:
Everyone within the age of 18 and 24 can participate. The participants should themselves produce a short film which will be uploaded and published through the Nordic Innovation website. Then a jury panel will evaluate the application and select the best videos.
Criteria:
The task is to put together a taste full Nordic meal which should be easy to cook in an American school kitchen. The jury will not only focus on the recipe, but also the participant’s ability to communicate why one should eat healthy Nordic food, and cook it yourself.
The participants should use Nordic ingredients that are easy to come by.
The food should be healthy, tasty and simple to make for other youths.
You should proceed as follows:
- Compose meal which is easy to make, and that may be served cold
- Film the process with your mobile or another camera and describe which ingredients are necessary
- Explain why you believe Nordic ingredients are a great for cooking “cool” food
- Present yourself and tell us, why you deserve to be one of the winners
- The deadline for sending in your short film is the 10th of October at 10 am
