Nordic Innovation at Slush

A delegation from Nordic Innovation will travel to Helsinki this week in conjunction with Slush for our last board meeting of the year.

This week, one of Europe’s largest tech conferences is held in Helsinki. With an expected attendance of 20.000 people this year, Slush has rapidly become one of the most important meeting places for Nordic and international actors on the tech scene.

A small delegation from Nordic Innovation, including our board members, will travel to Helsinki this week in conjunction with Slush. The first point on our itinerary is our final board meeting for the year, where we will discuss plans and strategies for Nordic Innovation in 2018. The board meeting is held 29.11 at Tekes. Among the points on the agenda is our work with scaling, a presentation of an upcoming Nordic entrepreneurship benchmarking report, and possible future work within Nordic cluster cooperation.

Our board is made up by the following representatives from the national organisations working with innovation in the Nordic countries:

  • Hans Martin Vikdal, Director and Head of Finance, Scorecards and Funds, Innovation Norway and Chair of the Board, Nordic Innovation
  • Jenni Nordborg, Director and Head of Health Division at VINNOVA
  • Karin Wikman, Program Manager, Smart City, Tekes (Business Finland)
  • Kasper Søgaard, Chief Counsellor at the Danish Business Authority
  • Berglind Halgrimsdottir, Managing Director at Innovation Center Iceland

Our Senior Innovation Advisers Anna-Maija Sunnanmark and Mikael von Dorrien will also be present in the Slush conference hall both days during Slush, so make sure to give them a ring or an email if you want to meet up for a cup of coffee and a Nordic chat!
