Green Business Norway to establish business intelligence programme in the Gulf Region

  • Published 13/02/2015
Markets for the cleantech industry in the Gulf are experiencing strong growth. By establishing a new business intelligence programme in the region, Green Business Norway and several of its member companies want to share in this growth.

The business intelligence programme is an organised method of working with companies in new markets through innovation, and aims at producing market winners.

Green Business Norway and their partners hope to use the business intelligence programme as a foundation for a Nordic cooperation platform in the Gulf region. Through the business intelligence programme, this platform will cooperate on positioning and implementing cleantech solutions in the region.

– We have great faith in this model and want to help give this cooperation a boost, says senior innovation adviser Rasmus Wendt at Nordic Innovation, who has funded the project.

Great access to market opportunities

Ennox Oil Solutions AS is one of the Norwegian, Swedish and Danish companies already involved in the cooperation. The company, which recovers oil from oil waste and cuttings, sees great potential in the region, and is participating in the program to make it easier to establish itself in the market.

– The business intelligence program GBN operates gives us access to know-how and market opportunities that would normally take several years to build up. We have great faith that this form of cooperation with GBN will guarantee important contracts going forward, says Rune G. Nilssen, CEO of Ennox Oil Solutions.
