In a rapidly changing global economy, policy makers and companies are constantly in need for better information and basis for decision-making. At the conference Positioning Nordic countries and enterprises in Global Value Chains a novel statistical analysis will be presented providing policy and economic decision makers with new important statistics concerning production and exports of services and goods.

The new ground breaking analysis from the five Nordic statistical offices led by Statistics Denmark confirms the growing importance of exports of services in the Nordics. By analysing the data at firm level new interesting findings have appeared regarding export and the role of SMEs. By interlinking different databases, the analysis provides new important information on how exports of services are developing, how size and foreign ownership influence export performance. These important types of information may increasingly form political strategies in the future.

The report will be available on 21 November 2016.
