My name is Evelina and I am18 years old and live in Valskog, Sweden.
I study the hotel and catering program in Köping on the Ullvi School.This is now my third and final year and it really feels like I have found my passion. The school takes up all my free time and I am very happy with it.
I have learned a lot during these years, but now I feel that I want to go further and learn more. I know about myself that my interest and desire can get me far. I just need more chances and opportunities.
At school we have a restaurant that is open for all. Here we are three days a week and get to do almost everything and take care of the restaurant like any other.
I currently have no extra work, but I’ll take any job opportunities I can. Primarily for the experience. You can never learn too much.
I participated in this competition because I want to learn so much more and I see this as a chance to increase my learning. I have very good language skills and I am good at what I do. I am really excited to finish school and go abroad to learn other countries cooking and learn others the Swedish cooking.
The meal I have decided to cook is made of Swedish ingredients that are tasty and nutritious, and they are easy to obtain. The food is prepared partly hot, but is perfectly possible to cool and serve cold too.
Swedish and Nordic raw materials are very useful and full of nutrients. In Sweden we have very strict rules regarding the environment and organic food.
